Okay, one casino executive told me that you GTC guys were teaching people not to hit the back wall and that if you have to hit the back wall your throw is just random. He said that they make you hit the back wall and the game then becomes random. Is this true?

If you are teaching a technique that can’t be used in a casino aren’t you taking money from people under suspicious circumstances?

A famous casino industry writer has put forth two ideas in a new book. The first is that dice control doesn’t work since some other casino industry "crime protection" guy (who interestingly enough was just arrested for cheating players in poker) who said he did an experiment where he dropped dice straight down after setting them the same way each time and the results were random.

First of all, the arrested "crime protection" guy only proved that dropping dice straight down has no effect on randomness. That’s like dropping a baseball straight down onto the mound and saying that pitchers therefore can’t reach home plate. Duh!

Now the casino industry book writer, to cover his butt, then went on to say that there might be some people who can control the dice (yes, yes, I know he is contradicting himself) but that these dice controllers do so by deliberately missing the back wall. Anyone who has taken our courses knows that we don’t teach a "kill shot," which is what a deliberate missing of the back wall shot is called. Frank Scoblete and I only know two people who can actually do the "kill shot" with great success.

GTC teaches a craps shooting method that hits the back wall and still gives the dice controller an edge over the house. So the fact that casino pit personnel have gotten themselves in a lather over the idea that we are trying to miss the back wall is funny and also helpful for us since we do hit the back wall.

Indeed, when one of our students miss the back wall those dice are probably random – just the opposite of what the casinos believe.
